Lisa Jackson is a favorite author of mine。 But， I have to say， with The Third Grave， I did not like the character development of the main character， Nikki。 At times i was so frustrated with her， I had to stop myself from yelling out loud。 She did the dumbest things！ And， just seemed so heartless to me on many occasions。 I really tried to get past my dislike of her so I could finish the book。 Even by the end of the book I did not like her。 How her husband puts up with her lack of empathy is beyon Lisa Jackson is a favorite author of mine。 But， I have to say， with The Third Grave， I did not like the character development of the main character， Nikki。 At times i was so frustrated with her， I had to stop myself from yelling out loud。 She did the dumbest things！ And， just seemed so heartless to me on many occasions。 I really tried to get past my dislike of her so I could finish the book。 Even by the end of the book I did not like her。 How her husband puts up with her lack of empathy is beyond me。 With that said， The Third Grave was a ok read。 The plot was interesting and intriguing。 Many thanks to NetGalley， the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion。 All opinions expressed are my own。 。。。more

3。5 stars。 The story involves the discovery of 2 bodies of young girls who were found in an abandoned mansion， in a hidden room。 The discovery also showed a third empty grave。 Nikki， a journalist， is determined to solve the mystery of where the missing girl is and who killed the 2 girls。 The mystery part of the story was very good， however the character of Nikki was annoying at times。 She often put herself and her unborn baby in jeopardy despite the warnings of her policeman husband Pierce

This is the fourth book in a series; it is the first one I have read and it did not inspire me to go back and read the prior ones。 The story itself was OK， but the telling of it tedious and I found myself frequently skimming。 I also found the character of Nikki annoying。 It was difficult to believe that she was so concerned about her pregnancy after two miscarriages， yet she put herself in danger by actions like traipsing around a slippery river bank right after a hurricane。

Really enjoyed reading this fast paced， action filled novel with plenty of twists。 The story itself starts off with a bang and kept me captivated from the beginning。 The story was creepy but well thought out。 Definitely recommend and if you are a thriller fan， this one is definitely for you。

Oh my gosh！ Another home run for Lisa Jackson with “The Third Grave”。 Of course， the title absolutely grabs you as you wonder what the heck is there about the third grave and what about a first and second grave！My attention was riveted as main character Nikki worked her way through a crime from the past。。。。。bodies discovered， a foreboding plantation and house， detective hubby， and newspaper work kept this Low Country novel moving right along！ Don’t miss this book especially if your are from the Oh my gosh！ Another home run for Lisa Jackson with “The Third Grave”。 Of course， the title absolutely grabs you as you wonder what the heck is there about the third grave and what about a first and second grave！My attention was riveted as main character Nikki worked her way through a crime from the past。。。。。bodies discovered， a foreboding plantation and house， detective hubby， and newspaper work kept this Low Country novel moving right along！ Don’t miss this book especially if your are from the Savannah area or lower South Carolina。。。。。you will recognize the flora and fauna。 A MUST READ！ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 。。。more
